About Us

where the spirit of community and celebrations come together

Shelly Calvert is the founder and executive director.  Being a Troy native and part of the community for 32 years, makes the North Elm Collective even more special.

In 2015, while her own two children were in high school, she began a heartfelt mission to spread joy and make birthdays extra special for every child. She is an advocate for children and is active with several regional child welfare groups.

A testament to sharing joyous occasions

With the purchase of the North Elm building, Shelly has expanded her vision to provide a welcoming space for the entire community. North Elm Collective is more than just a venue; it's a testament to Shelly's passion for creating spaces where people can come together to heal, find hope, celebrate life's milestones, share in joyous occasions and build lasting memories.
